The Sculpture Zoo, located along the Brazos Riverwalk, is an outdoor art exhibit featuring a collection of 28 whimsical and artistic animals sculptures. The sculptures are works of 17 different artists and have a variety of styles, forms, and materials. Couples can enjoy a leisurely stroll, admiring the creativity and detail of each sculptures while enjoying the scenic views of the Brazos River. The Sculpture Zoo is free to visit making it a great date spot that all can enjoy.

The trail along the west side of the Brazos River has some interesting animal sculptures along the way leading to the Waco Zoo. It was a pleasant walk and easy to view and admire the different types of sculpture. I parked by the convention center and walked to the zoo and back on the Riverwalk, enjoying the sculptures from both directions. If I had more time, I would have gone to the zoo or explored the rest of Cameron Park.

Fun to drive or walk by. Such a beautiful area to enjoy the outdoors.

This is currently a short trip on a side walk running above the river and consists of only the sculptures. The orangutans are playful, the fox abstract, and the eagle majestic. Hopefully more sculptures will be added.

I love walking and running past the sculptures on my weekend runs through Cameron Park and down to River run on the weekends. My favorite sculptures are the thinking elephant and the orangutan children. Each statue is unique and neat to look at and read the inscriptions on the plaques. It's a good place to walk with children and talk about the animals either before or after visiting the nearby zoo.

The sculpture zoo is really awesome. You can see various sculptures of animals across the Waco river trail. We decided to go on a quick walk on Monday morning and we absolutely loved it 😍. The weather was perfect and trail is gorgeous. They have so many sculptures. We didn’t have too much time so we decided to stop walking after Cameron zoo. If you have kids definitely stop by because you are going to really enjoy it.
