We had the best time at Brazos Bluffs Ranch! We did a trail ride and loved every part of the experience: the ride was so enjoyable, the scenery gorgeous and serene, and the guides were top-notch. Ruthie & Ethan made the ride so memorable, taking photos and coaching new riders on the basics of riding.

The trail ride at Brazos Bluffs Ranch is a fun experience that is a must do in the Waco area.

My girlfriend, Victoria, and I had an absolute amazing time! Our instructors were Savanah and Ethan. Savanah gave great instructions that were easy to understand and straight forward! Ethan took amazing pictures of the group and us as a couple. We got to hear great things about the land and the characters of each horse. It almost seemed like each horse was tailored to us! My girlfriend’s horse was named “Smokey” and mine was named “Chief” which fit us well! We got to ride close together and it was romantic, fun, and quite the experience! There are even 2 air-bnbs that we passed. We got to ride by the Brazos River , and see a beautiful scenic view. At the end, we got to do a little activity where we each got to brand these fresh wood cut coaster with their ranch brand!! This was all quite the experience. 10/10 for sure!!

While preparing for our trip to Texas, I felt that in a state with such a rich cowboy tradition, I simply had to go horseback riding.
Of all the options I found online around Fort Worth and Dallas, Brazos Bluffs Ranch appealed to me the most. Its description convinced me that it would be the best choice for beginners.
That turned out to be exactly my experience. My initial nervousness quickly disappeared. I soon gained confidence in our guide, Cade. He asked about our riding experience and selected the horses accordingly. Before we started, he gave us a thorough introduction to the essentials, including the horse’s field of vision, where to position ourselves around the horse, how to hold the reins properly, how our feet should rest in the stirrups, and how to control direction and speed.
We then had a few minutes to get acquainted with our horses. After walking a lap around the paddock with the horse by our side, it was time to mount up. Following a few additional tips for the trail, we set off into the countryside.
We were out riding for more than an hour. Along the way, Cade occasionally stopped to take photos of us, which were later made available for download. The trail led through a variety of terrain, including both uphill and downhill sections. Throughout the ride, Cade continued to offer helpful advice on how we could improve our handling of the horses.
What I also appreciated was that Cade regularly engaged us in conversation. We had many interesting discussions and learned a lot about each other’s backgrounds and experiences, which was especially enjoyable for a visitor from another country.
After the ride, we even had the opportunity to burn the ranch’s brand into a small wooden disk as a unique souvenir.
If I find myself in the area again, I will certainly book another ride with Brazos Bluffs Ranch. Thank you for the excellent care, guidance, and hospitality.

If I could give it 6 stars I would!! Lem and his team were amazing. They went above and beyond to make me feel special for my bachelorette and made sure everyone was safe. We had experienced riders and people who had never been on a horse before. Ruthie, Savannah and Cade were just the best people to ride with and we are so happy we found this place! Highly recommend. You’ll have an amazing experience. We did the early breakfast ride and lem made amazing pancakes! Beautiful views.

We had an excellent trail ride, though the sky didn’t cooperate with us for the sunset aspect. 😭 The guides were friendly and knowledgeable about the horses and the ranch itself, and we all had so much fun! They also took pictures for us, which was super helpful.

My mom and I just finished the most incredible horseback ride with Brazos Bluffs Ranch and it completely exceeded my expectations. The views were unreal—honestly a side of Waco I didn’t even know existed, and I grew up here!

The horses were so well-trained and easy to ride, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. And Ruthie, Brooke, and Savana made it even better—they were all so sweet, welcoming, and genuinely FUN to be around.

Watching the sunset out there was something I’ll never forget. It ended up being such a special bonding experience with my mom while I was in town.

Already planning to come back next week—highly recommend!

This is a great place for beginners. This was my first time and they were so nice and patient with me. Charlie stressed me out at first but I would definitely ride him again. He was amazing and fun to ride. I love this place and would definitely go back.

Employee's are knowledgeable and super kind. They care about your safety. Horses look healthy, happy and have their own personalities 😁 The rides are nice and relaxed, very calming. I highly recommend riding here.

We love going to Brazos bluffs ranch. This is our 3rd horse back riding experience with them. Each time we go we always have fun, the workers are so sweet and helpful, & the horses are gentle and well trained. Definitely will be going back for a 4th ride soon. We had such an amazing time this past weekend. The team took great care of us and answered any questions we had. They are all so knowledgeable on not only each individual horse, but the area as well. They paired us up with our horse almost poetically! We had Chief and Outlaw. Both amazing boys. We enjoyed the calming trip up to the Bluffs and the Dr. Pepper floats were the perfect treat to enjoy the sunset!
10/10 would recommend.

It was all around an amazing time. Even if you are new to horse back riding they are patient and the horses are amazing. Perfect date idea and just for some stress relief. I can't wait to come back. Truly an awesome place.

On a girls trip to Waco and decided to get out in nature and take a trail ride. We certainly chose the right place. We met Brooke upon our arrival who set us up on our horses, gave us a few pointers and we were off. The Brazos bluffs property is beautiful. Brooke told us all about the property and the horses and was a fantastic trail guide. We asked for recommendations for lunch and she suggested cafe homestead for the burger and she wasn't kidding, burgers were great. I highly suggest putting this on your list when in Waco.

My wife and I made the trip from Big Spring,Texas to come ride horses at the Brazos Bluff Ranch. The ladies there are very knowledgeable, friendly and very cool!! They made our first time experience, an awesome memory. I was a first time rider, and they knew exactly how and what to do to help me. Thank you to the ladies. Hope to see y’all very soon. Not even sure where to begin! Ruthie and Roslyn were absolutely AMAZING!! They went above and beyond for our trail ride experience. I can’t say enough how beautiful it was. This was a very fun experience. I haven’t ridden in about two years, but Charlie (the horse I got to ride) was very nice and patient. My guides, Maddie and Savannah, were also very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend riding with them want to ride with them in the future. :)

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the ride. The weather was perfect and the horses felt super safe to ride. Maddie (our guide) was excellent at giving us direction and helping me feel confident on Cash (my horse). It was a nice easy long ride with incredible scenery and views. I would definitely recommend it!
