Excellent Venue!
We got engaged in the spring of last year and were searching for a venue in the Waco area. Deerfield Estates was one of the few that we were very interested in. After we toured Deerfield we fell in love! The barn was absolutely beautiful and has a great history, the bridal suite was perfect size, and most importantly, the grounds were absolutely perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We made sure to book it as soon as we could.
Leading up to our wedding day, the venue had changed owners a couple of times. Nevertheless, we always had excellent service from our venue representative. Our final point-of-contact was with Katlynn and she was excellent. She was swift at responding to our questions and made sure to keep us informed concerning any updates that happened to the property. When it came close to the Wedding Day and the event started getting stressful, we were glad to have Katlynn as our point of contact.
For our wedding we had approximately 75 guests attending and we planned to have an outdoor ceremony under the terrace and the reception in the barn. However, due to unforeseen weather, we had to move the ceremony indoors. Luckily, due to the size of our guest list, there was plenty of space within the barn to do both without feeling cramped.
For our reception, we made sure to utilize the flatware and silverware in the kitchen that is made available. A quick important note is they were renovating the kitchen when we had the venue booked so the dishes were fairly dusty due to being exposed. So if you utilize the dishes, make sure to give them a cleaning before and after use.
We also had a open bar and were pleasantly surprised to discover they now have a booth for the bartender (or a DJ) to utilize. Our bartender was also happy for the industrial ice maker in the kitchen that he fully utilized.
In summary, the venue was beautiful, the staff were fantastic, and we enjoyed our wedding even through the unforeseen, terrible weather.
