Dr. Pepper Museum

We really didn’t know what to expect going in, but the museum focuses more on the history of Dr Pepper and the soft drink industry than on interactive exhibits. One interesting thing we learned is that the museum is actually a nonprofit organization and is not operated by the Dr Pepper company.

We also did the “Make Your Own Soda” experience. It was fun and unique, although it seemed to be geared more toward younger kids. Your general admission ticket also includes a free drink, which was a nice bonus.

The gift shop was well stocked with some unique Dr Pepper merchandise that we hadn’t seen anywhere else, although it was a little small and could get crowded.

Parking was easy and conveniently located across the street for $10.

Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the experience. If you’re already visiting Waco, I definitely recommend stopping by. However, I probably wouldn’t make the trip to Waco just for the museum alone.

The Dr Pepper Museum is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you walk in, you get hit with this perfect mix of history, nostalgia, and fun. The exhibits are super well done and really show the story behind one of the most iconic sodas in America. You can tell a lot of care went into preserving everything.

The interactive parts are awesome, especially getting to learn how soda was made back in the day. The gift shop is also packed with cool souvenirs and, of course, you have to try a real Dr Pepper from the old-fashioned soda fountain—it tastes way better there for some reason!

Staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole place was clean and easy to explore. Whether you’re a soda fan or just looking for something unique to do in Waco, this place is 100% worth it.

The only slight disappointment was the focus of the exhibits. The kids expected more of a look into the actual production process or factory-themed experiences, whereas the museum itself is primarily focused on the history of the brand.

The museum is small. Entrance fee is reasonable. It was very interactive and informative. Definitely take your time to plan your trip. We drove from Houston without any plans so once we left the Museum we really didn't know what to do next!
