Such a cool hands on place for ages 1 and up. Baylor University really went out of their way to create a great place for important knowledge for kids on how things work and why things are the way they are. Im 47 and learned some valuable information as well.

"I recently had the pleasure of chaperoning my daughter's field trip to this museum, and though the class didn’t get to see everything, I stayed behind with my daughter after they left, and we spent the rest of the day there. The museum is absolutely stunning—so beautiful and educational. There’s both an upstairs and downstairs, with hands-on activities like LEGOs, animal tanks, and even an outdoor area that replicates life in the late 1800s, with actual barns, churches, and homes. My daughter’s favorite part was the ball display—putting balls into the air suction and watching them travel—and the bubble room was such a hit. I also really appreciated that they had a dedicated area for kids under five, so even the littlest ones could enjoy themselves. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and we will definitely be returning. Parking was easy as well, though we visited on a weekday, so I can’t speak to the weekend crowds. Overall, a truly fantastic experience!"

Took my grandsons (10 and 6) to the Mayborn Museum, and we loved it! So many hands-on exhibits where they could touch, build, and explore—perfect mix of fun and learning.
The boys especially enjoyed the Castle Builder Lego exhibit—tons of bricks to create castles, dragons, and more. They spent ages building and playing there! We also checked out the natural history areas with fossils and interactive spots.
Clean, family-friendly, and not too crowded. Great for grandparents and grandkids—highly recommend!

This is such a cute museum. It is great for all ages. There are many hands on exhibits . I did see that upstairs looked really fun for the younger kids. If you haven't been I would check it out once .

Absolutely LOVED our visit here! Was such a great museum that had the perfect mixture of history learning for adults but was also great for little ones to learn, explore and play. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area. We enjoyed our visit.

The Mayborn Museum Complex was a nice stop in Waco, though it wasn’t quite as big as I expected. It’s definitely geared more toward kids, with lots of hands-on activities and discovery rooms that younger visitors will love.

As an adult, I found some of the exhibits a bit underwhelming, but the mammoth display was by far the highlight—really well done and worth the visit just for that section. The staff was friendly, the museum was clean, and everything was easy to navigate.

If you’re visiting with children, you’ll get a lot out of it. For adults traveling without kids, it’s still worth a stop, but you might not spend as much time there as you’d think.

This museum is fantastic! So many great exhibits for all ages and I love that it's a reciprocal museum so our passes work here. Almost every exhibit is in working order. The bubble room was a huge hit.

This was an amazing museum. Our kids (age 4 and 7) had such an incredible time. So much for them to do and learn. They had a blast.

I had a fantastic time visiting the Mayborn Museum. The displays are well-done, and I enjoyed the different natural sciences rooms although they are not as detailed in explanations as other museums. The top floor is definitely a highlight for children - the interactive activities are abundant and look like a lot of fun for kids of all ages. Parking is also very convenient in the campus lots. They accept all major credit cards.

This is a great place to learn something new or teach the kids something new. I do love train history. Even though the model is nice, more information would get me to come back sooner. One area has an old-school oddities area. If you have kids under five there is an area just for those kids.

This is a great museum. We got in FREE with our Perot Museum of Nature and Science membership. Tons of open space and lots of interesting exhibits, most of which were in good working order. I personally thought the SpaceX exhibit could have been way cooler. There were a few other exhibits that just didn’t make sense like the big interactive water table didn’t seem interactive at all and wreaked of chlorine bleach. Our child loved the Texas cave exhibit and went back to it over and over. The historic village was a nice feature too and the gift shop was extra cool, especially a cracked geode right in front of you for only $7, I could come back just for that.
