Very interesting story about the bridge. Many life-size bronze cattle and ranch hand statues to represent the crossings back in the mid/late 1800's.

Beautiful view from the bridge with restaurants nearby it would make a good day trip. Great photo opportunities. Also walking paths along the river are made well and are nice to walk along to enjoy the sights.

Beautiful bridge. Really short walk over the Brazos River. I walked over it and discovered a farmer’s market on Saturday that went until 1pm. It was a fun surprise.

The bridge is also well lit at night. Felt safe there being alone.

I easily found parking along the curb by the bridge.

Great bridge to visit when in Waco. So much history in one single place.
One can only imagine how it was crossing the river before the bridge was build.
Today the bridge is well maintained and easy to walk. There are great views to the west and east, and you can walk the nearby parks along both sides of the river.
We walked it a Saturday near lunch. Not to many people. And when you walk it from south to north you end up at a farmer’s market.

Went early morning Saturday. Not very many people around which made for a peaceful morning. Avoided the restroom area as there were several people who appear to call that area home.

Very cool price of history in Waco I didn’t notice, it’s a lot older than I thought. Very nice area to walk in even at night, there were quite a few people there, also very well lit

A beautiful bridge with rich history. We had a great stroll on the bridge, and around it. The area has restrooms which allows enjoying the bridge and area as long as you want.

A neat old piece of Texas history that has recently been renovated by the city of Waco. It was a toll bridge for years when first built over a hundred years ago.
A businessman then bought it and gave it to the city of Waco.

This bridge is beautifully restored, has great views of the river and surrounding grounds, and even offers a little bit of history if you take the time to read the placards. A beautiful addition to the Riverwalk. My little ones thought it was cool that it was just for walkers and that no cars could cross. Plenty of great photo ops with the Alico building in the background.

a place for all season. I always end up here at least once a week. The breeze, people, the ducks....... and especially photography. There is so much to love about this place. Great place to exercise, bring out of town visitors or take graduation/engagement photos. I love sunset watching from the bridge. It's 5 mins walk away from downtown and I have never have had trouble finding a parking. What a great piece of Texas history.

This bridge is awesome. The views are so beautiful and it feels good to walk on the bridge. Me and my husband went for walks on the bridge and back through another bridge next to it. They also have a beautiful trail down the bridge that has amazing views and is so peaceful to walk. Glad we decided to stop by . They also have beautiful sculptures of Longhorns that are so artistic.

Such a cool piece of history. Bridge built in 1870 and updated and maintained by Waco. Cool sculptures as you enter with markers and a great smooth place to walk. Even works for those with walkers or wheelchairs. It's a great place for visitors and locals to hang out and enjoy the sights.
