I stumbled across Blue Hills Ranch and on a whim I booked two nights in the giraffe cabin and the dine with the giraffes experience.

Matt, Ann, Jackie and the rest of the team were the most kind and accommodating people of nearly any place we have visited - and we adventure a lot! And the food was🤌🏼

For the giraffe experience, we actually stayed inside the barn for the duration. It was a little cool, and with a cold front coming they didn’t want to risk them getting out in the pasture and deciding that was better than the warm barn and them be unable to get them back inside. I can’t imagine trying to truck a 17’ tall animal into an confined space lol
We opted to get our charcuterie board sent to our cabin and we drank wine and fed Violet, Google, Meadow and her baby.

Blue has his own barn/enclosure and he is let out each morning to roam his enclosure. Being as we stayed on the property we were able to visit him any time he wasn’t in his barn during the day.

The property is growing and changing and the owner is working on constantly improving - the accommodations and the experiences. As someone obsessed with giraffes and likes low key, it was perfect. There are lots of deer: fallow, axis and blackbuck that roam the hills and venture close to the cabins.

Our safari ride took us out to see the zebras. Very greedy snackers lol British White cattle roam part of the acreage. Several Donkeys just hangout all over with Horses and ponies. The kangaroos were sweet and fun to watch. The otters made a fan out of me.

We had a wonderful time. It was slow paced, low key, relaxing and fun. The cabin was clean and homey. We will be back!

My husband surprised me with a last minute trip to Blue Hills Ranch as an early Valentines gift. This was such an amazing experience and we both had so much fun. The ranch is very clean and well kept. We stayed 2 nights in a cabin and it was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we could need! It was so quiet and peaceful around our cabin, even with all the animals roaming around. We ate on site and the food and chef were fantastic!
My husband did an inclusive package and it allowed us to interact with so many different animals in one day. From bottle feeding a kangaroo, feeding vegetables to the Capybara and feeding Giraffes.... absolutely fabulous!

We have been to Giraffe Manor in Africa and while it is an amazing experience, so is Blue Hills Ranch! This ranch is as close to that experience that we have found in the USA and it being located in Texas makes it even more special!
The Giraffes, Milton and Blue, were so friendly and loved to be fed and touched. While most places barely allow you to feed the animals, Blue Hills Ranch has animals that actually want to interact with you!
This place is so much more than a petting zoo or drive thru safari..... it is a place that wants to teach you about the animals and encourage interactions with them. All of the staff were exceptional and so kind, which made the experience even more wonderful.
I definitely want to visit again! Thank you to everyone at Blue Hills that made our weekend so special!

We just got home from our time at Blue Hills Ranch and the only thing that could've made it better was the weather. It was an amazing get away that my husband planned for us. The food was great, the atmosphere was gorgeous, the staff and volunteers were super friendly and knowledgeable of all the animals. We made friends with all the animals. My favorite was, of course, the giraffes, but it was all so wonderful. We will be back!

Blue Hills Ranch is something very special! The gals were amazing, very welcoming, friendly and informative. You can tell they love their jobs and all the animals.

We stayed in the Giraffe Cabin for two nights. It had all the comforts of home and I loved all the giraffe decor. We had several deer and Lisa the Emu hanging out at our back deck.

All the animals are so sweet and friendly.

Jackie gave us a great tour of the ranch, we booked it for an hour prior to check in. I would highly recommend the tour.

We so enjoyed our time at the ranch and hope to go back in the future someday.

This place is over priced and has false advertising online. You do not eat dinner with a giraffe, you feed a giraffe. Also, you would think more African like animals would be on the Safari ride but it’s mostly Deer.. the customer service is not great. The owner avoids you when you try to speak of an issue. Anytime we showed up for a scheduled appointment that we paid a lot of money for, the front check in girl would ask how she can help us as if this is not scheduled and very expensive. It advertises that there’s a chef but doesn’t really tell you that it’s mainly for events. We were over charged on feeding giraffes and spent 4K at this place. The owner is too greedy to give back the money for one giraffe feeding. We will not be back and I will make sure to recommend people finding other safaris to go to.

We had the most wonderful experience here! My mom and I came here for the safari and it did not disappoint! We had the most wonderful tour guide who was so knowledgeable and fun, she helped make the experience so magical for us. The animals are well loved and taken care of. We loved getting to feed the giraffes, hold hands with the otters, and pet the kangaroos and camel. We had the very best time and this was the highlight of our weekend!

We did not stay in the cabins it was just a day trip. And it was absolutely amazing. The Safari was awesome with all the different animals and being able to feed them. Dining with the giraffes …I can’t even say enough about it, truly, an awesome experience. Our tour guide Amaria was the best!

Despite being delayed to check-in by 7 hours due to issues with my rental car, the owner was very understanding when I checked in at 11:00pm. The cabin was beautifully appointed and I slept incredibly well in the very comfortable bed. The setting was serene and beautiful. Waking up to emu and other animals grazing outside my cabin while a herd of zebra ran across the hillside in the rising sun was absolutely amazing! I did the safari tour and bottle-fed a baby kangaroo. The assisting staff clearly cared deeply for the animals. Additionally, it sounds like they have some exciting plans for expansion of what they offer. The only possible constructive feedback I could offer is that the bed pillows were all basically the same firmness, and some range would be useful to accommodate different types of sleepers. I highly recommend Blue Hills Ranch and will be staying there again when in the area.

Only gave it 3 stars because the people working there are great and such kind-hearted. The 'safari' experience itself is subpar, you'd have a better time at your local zoo instead. We only got to interact with 5 animals and even those were behind cages, you're not allowed to exit the ATV to even see the cows, maybe they let you interact if you rent out the cabins I'm not sure. They can easily improve the experience if they let people mindfully walk up or at least get close enough to some of these animals by walking instead of riding in the ATV. Subpar experience, great folks working there.

We stopped by on our roadtrip to do the Safari and had an absolute blast!! All of the facilities were extremely clean, and full of extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff (shoutout to Ann who helped make our day so memorable!). We got to get up close with various animals, and they all seemed extremely happy, healthy, and well fed. Definitely recommend!

Great vacation spot! The ranch was immaculately clean and well maintained. The animals seemed happy, and the cabins were very clean and comfortable. We also scheduled the safari tour and baby kangaroo feeding. Both were very fun! All staff members seemed knowledgeable about the animals and enjoyed teaching us fun facts about them. Katelyn was our safari guide and seemed to really enjoy her job and ensuring we had a great experience. She knew all animals by name and also shared info about their personality traits. So cute!

The staff was very accommodating making it family friendly and adaptable for all in our party- from our infant to our grandma. The only thing we didn’t like was the extra charge for guests. We were charged extra for
a 4 year old and grandmother. The cabin sleeps 4, but they only allow 2 guests in the base price. Seemed to be a bit unreasonable, but the rest of our experience was great, so we didn’t feel the need to complain.

Awesome experience with the baby otters for my wife and her friend! Everything was on time. Matt Cordova was awesome as well and took the time to show "the husbands" a cabin and share tons of information about the ranch. We will definitely be coming back for a cabin experience!!! Awesome staff and such an amazing place! Highly recommended!

Does it get any better than this? What an absolute joy to spend time with ALL the animals the Ranch has to offer. The humans too are incredibly friendly and helpful with whatever you need. We stayed two nights in the Zebra cabin and it is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The view is amazing and you can even get animal visitors at all times! Zebras came up as well as Lisa the Emu. We did Otter encounter, the Safari adventure and got some up close time with both giraffes. An absolutely incredible place for anyone of all ages and can't wait to returns. Many thanks to The Blue Hills Ranch.

It was an experience you simply had to be there for it. We loved all the animals during our stay. The staff members were friendly and informative. The highlight was after the giraffe encounter when a camel began chasing an employee for food pellets, leaving our family in laughter. Shout out to Kenzie for guiding us through the experiences.

This was our second time to visit the ranch - we brought our 7 year old granddaughter for her birthday and in her words "the best birthday ever" She loved seeing and feeding the animals, but bottle feeding the baby kangaroo was her absolute favorite! We stayed in the Hook cabin, and oh my... a kid's dream, she loved everything about it! Casey was our "safari guide" and was great with our granddaughter making sure she had the best time. We loved how well he knew the animals and their special personalities. He was also a wealth of information teaching us all about each of the animals on the ranch.
Sunsets over the pond are beautiful and we had an overall amazing time! Will absolutely be back again... .and again!

Such an amazing experience! I went here with my boyfriend and we had such an amazing time! The tour guide was awesome! He was so funny and educated us about all the animals. You can tell everyone here truly loves their jobs and the amount of love they put into the animals is incredible. I really recommend you check them out.
