We've only been once, and the experience was fine. I expected more the way everyone raved about it, and because it was super busy and the restaurant was packed and noisy. The pizza itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't phenomenal either. If we ever decide to go again I'd definitely check times and try to go on an off hour, because otherwise it's hard to have a conversation/date night.

If you eat two pizzas a day, this is definitely the place for you. In fact, I've had their pizza twice a day. Takeout for lunch, and celebrating our wedding anniversary with our family in the evening. :)

We stopped by Moroso’s for dinner one night, and there were so many items on the menu that looked amazing that we agreed to come back. We shared the toasted bread, then I got the chicken piccata while my partner had the chicken parmesan, and both dishes were delicious! We added sides of pasta to those as well, which of course many of the dishes are actually gluten free, and not including the pasta helps keep away from gluten allergies so stars for extra dietary accommodation! 🌟 I also tried my first espresso martini, and it did not disappoint, it was delicious! My fiancé really enjoyed his old fashioned as well. He’s been ranking the restaurants based on their old fashioned around Waco, and he put Moroso’s at #2 overall!

Even though the restaurant was busy, we were seated fairly quickly, our server was sweet, and the restaurant itself was very clean. We’re already planning another visit to try the pizzas and sample more of the drinks!

Moroso Italian Restaurant is a fantastic dining location for all friends and family. I can say, with certainty, that this is the place to go for any occasion. I personally chose this restaurant to enjoy my college graduation dinner with my family. The staff provided excellent hospitality, with smiles all around. Our server, Leslie, was amazing and an absolute joy to talk to. After we had placed the orders the others servers also came out and delivered me a hand written card from all of them, wishing me congratulations on graduating and really made me feel like the staff of Moroso are a family.
The food was also delicious, from pizza to pasta you can’t have a wrong decision, and almost all of it can be made to suit almost any need you have. For example, I ordered the Vodka Chicken Parmesan, and that originally does not come with pasta, I asked if they could substitute the zucchini that did come with it for a pasta of my choice and they said that it was something they could accomplish for me. Hands down that was one of the best chicken parmesans I have ever had. The owner was also amazing, he came up and talked with our table and seemed genuinely interested in what my family and I were celebrating. He also personally congratulated me on graduating from Baylor. The entire visit was an experience to remember. If you need a restaurant to have a relaxing and fun dining experience, then Moroso is certainly the best place for it.

Moroso Italian delivers truly authentic Italian cuisine. Had the Margherita pizza and it was amazing. Moroso does a great job with authentic Italian food, and their Neapolitan style pizza is some of the best I’ve had. The crust was light and flavorful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything came together perfectly. Great atmosphere and great food. I’ll definitely be back.

Food was absolutely incredible, one of the rare moments when I can say I was fully satisfied with my meal. I’ve never had a shrimp scampi as good as the one I had here. My server, Daniel, was very kind and fast, and his recommendations were spot on.

Moroso was an incredible experience! Visiting from the East Coast—and knowing how many great Italian restaurants we have out there—I was pleasantly surprised by just how amazing the service, food, and atmosphere were. We were greeted by the gracious owner, Dan, who welcomed us with open arms, and his staff was just as warm and attentive. What a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely to die for. This is an outstanding restaurant, and I wish them nothing but continued success. “Amazing” is truly an understatement. Thank you, Dan, and a huge thank-you to your entire team!

Been here several times and wasn’t impressed! Each time we came to this establishment they are always out of beer my husband likes to drink. My husband would pick another brand of beer and they didn’t have that one either! Will not waste my time there again.

Since I was invited, it is difficult for me to be critical. I tried the lasagna and I liked it. I also had some cannoli for dessert and the portion was enough for 2, and even up to 4.

Great staff and very knowledgeable. We were attended too nicely. The pizza Marguerite I ordered was delicious, and my wife's was great according to her. Really nice crust.

We had been here once before and loved it. When my wife suggested we come again, I immediately pictured the server we had, Tiny, and the chicken and waffles (brunch menu) I had then. The food is amazing and our server (he waited on us again) was just as awesome. The whole experience is amazing and Tiny is honestly the best server we have ever had. He remembered us, tho it had been at least a month and only one other time before. He talks to our son (10) just as interested in what he had to say, as he was with is us. Also if you need help deciding on a drink or entree, he nails it! Brought our son and drink he thought he would like (pineapple cream soda) and it was a hit. Just come and relax and enjoy everything about this place!

The food here was SO good. There isn't one thing I've had that was bad, or even mediocre. And if you're in the mood for pizza, then you should definitely try out the Wild Hog pizza. I realize most people don't go to Italian restaurants for pizza, but just trust me. That crust was so pillowy soft, and all the toppings were amazing. If you like seafood, both the shrimp appetizer and the scampi were excellent.

Like I said, everything tried tonight was a winner!

Very nice waitress who was incredibly attentive without being annoying. We were meeting an old friend after years and spent 3 hours having dinner. We didn't feel pressure to hurry along at all.

We had a Negroni and Italian Margarita. Both well balanced cocktails that were perfect. My only comment would be for them to let guests know the Margarita comes standard with a salt rim and to confirm they want it. I'm so used to restaurants advising if/when a drink has a rim on it... that I did not assume it would come that way because there was no mention of it. My bad on the assumption, I understand, but still would be good customer service to mention the salt rim and/or confirm if they want a sugar rim or no rim instead.

Appetizer of meatballs, we started with. The meatballs are excellent. One of the best I've had. 4 to the plate. The sauce a tad salty, but hardly noticeable.

For dinner we shared the Classico pizza. I haven't a complaint about it. Excellent flavors melded together. Their dough is phenomenal. If I lived locally I'd be here once a month for a pizza.

Main: lobster ravioli, butternut squash ravioli, shrimp scampi (shrimp was smaller than gulf prawns)
Dessert: ricotta cheesecake and chocolate torta

Took my sister here for her birthday last night and it was fabulous. We traveled in from DFW and Austin and I was not sure what to expect from Waco cuisine, but I couldn’t have been more pleased. Every dish was delicious and our server was attentive and knowledgeable with my million questions. It’s a relaxed atmosphere that easily dresses up or down, and tables ranged from casual get together to romantic dates. Also - don’t skimp on the Texas Pecan Gelato…it was not the dessert I wanted, but ended up eating the most of!

Hidden gem in town. Small but cozy restaurant. Great staff, real Italian fare.... The owner walks around to say Hi to guests. Best pizzas ever. Love it
