Visited here from Dallas and OMG!!! Service is exceptional from the minute you walk into the door. Amazing spot for date night or celebrating a special event. Some places you sacrifice flavor for esthetic but not here. Plates are picture perfect and flavor/seasoning is just as equal. We will absolutely be coming back next time we’re in the Waco area.

One of the best upscale casual meals we’ve had in a very long time not easy to do Cole atmosphere was extremely well done. Service was top-notch. Food was extremely fresh. It was excellent flavors. Everything was great and price was very reasonable.

We had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious-- the filet was one of the best I have ever had. The best part was our server, Yaj. He was so patient and helpful with my food allergies. He had great knowledge of what is in each dish, and he was happy to check with the chefs to verify that it would be safe for me. We will definitely be back.

I can’t express how much I love it here. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff is amazing. Ike the bartender is the absolute best!! He listens, he cares and he will go above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you want. I’ll be back!!!

I’ve been to Opals several times and have had exceptional service and food every time!! Cocktails are divine. My favorite menu item is the crudo plate but I also love their ceviche and lobster roll. Also low key probably the best French fries I’ve ever had. I like taking people here when they visit Waco and will recommend always!

Went with a couple of friends and my little boy. The filet mignon was AMAZING! The green sauce was my favorite and definitely squeeze that lemon on it. The garlic fries were good and loved by the little dude. Truffle deviled eggs were good if you like mushrooms mixed in. Was not a fan and they were VERY pricey for 3.

Best food we’ve had in ages. Well worth the cost. Scallops and crab cake were delicious. Crab fried rice was sooooo good as was the lobster mac and cheese. They have all kinds of seafood and steak too. Make a reservation ahead of time!

We visited Opal’s for a special occasion. The menu is unique and while we wanted to try various things, the prices are a bit high to do so. The oysters we got were tasty but the steak was a little overcooked. Still, everything was enjoyable. The atmosphere is lovely, and feels like you’re on the coast rather than in downtown Waco. Very well done! I would recommend it but we probably won’t return often.

We were in Waco for a culinary competition (my wife is a culinary teacher), and as big oyster lovers, we knew we had to stop by Opal’s Oysters and I’m so glad we did.

Our first visit, just the two of us, was incredible. Oscar gave us top-tier service and he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Sierra, the manager, was just as amazing. She gave us great recommendations and made us feel so at home that we ended up booking a reservation to come back for Sunday brunch with the kids.

And honestly, brunch might have been even better.

The kids loved everything they tried which says a lot because many of those dishes were completely new to them. Watching them experience new flavors and enjoy every bite made it even more special.

Between the atmosphere, the food, and the service, Opal’s truly exceeded expectations. We would absolutely travel back to Waco just to eat here again.

10/10 — highly recommend.
