Spent 3 days in a 2 Mammouth cabins and while everyone had a great time and there was so much to do, the price vs what you get is a little outrageous. The cabin floors were dirty. Both refrigerators leaked water from freezer to frig and you had to be careful where you placed your food. Before placing food in we had to clean out all the water in bottom. Hard to believe housekeeping would not have noticed that if they really cleaned it. Also found several dead cockroaches on floor. Could not get in to cabins until 5pm so had to keep cars running in order to keep everything cool in 100 degree heat. It’s glamping so perfection is not expected but for the price it’s a little over the top. Cabins, golf carts and pool cabana put the trip well over 4k. Adult pool was avery cloudy and needed some attention but the kiddie area was a hit with both adults and kids.

Park is not being maintained as well as it was on our last stay. Fire ants were awful, everywhere. Everyone in our 3 separate parties got fire ant bites at various locations in the park. Rented a cabana, it was filthy, TVs don’t work, old food in refrigerator. And to rent a cabana you need to walk up to the main entrance from the pool? Not being able to use wristbands to pay for everything in the park is just silly. Who carries a card or phone in the pool? You should make it easy for people to spend money, not harder.

We stayed at Camp Fimfo Waco over Labor Day weekend and rented a cabin near friends who were staying in their RV sites. We were really looking forward to the weekend, but unfortunately the overall cleanliness and upkeep did not match the experience being marketed or the price we paid. Our cabin was not clean when we arrived. The floors were extremely dirty, we have a crawling toddler, and after being on the floor he was literally black from the dirt. We also brought approximately $300 worth of groceries, only to discover that the refrigerator wasn’t cooling properly. Maintenance came to adjust it, returned a couple of hours later when it still wasn’t working, and eventually replaced it with a smaller refrigerator from another cabin. Unfortunately, some of our food could not be saved. We also paid more than $200 to rent a cabana at the pool on Saturday, and that was probably the biggest disappointment. The tables were dirty, the TV didn’t work, and there were two old, rotting shakes left in the refrigerator. My husband actually asked for cleaning supplies so we could clean the cabana ourselves. The GM said he would try to find someone to come clean it. At more than $200 for the day, the cabana should have been cleaned and ready before we ever arrived. It was also the first weekend of college football, so having a nonworking TV while we spent the day at the pool was especially frustrating. There were other upkeep issues throughout the property. Grass around several sites was very overgrown, we had multiple large spiders and ants inside our cabin, and the pool water was noticeably cloudy and did not appear clean. We were also surprised by how fast some people drove through the campground despite having kids everywhere on bikes, scooters and golf carts. There are a lot of great ideas and amenities here, and our kids enjoyed spending the weekend with their friends. Camp Fimfo’s marketing does an excellent job of creating the expectation of a premium resort-style camping experience. Unfortunately, it feels like the upkeep, cleanliness and attention to detail haven’t kept pace with that marketing. For what guests are paying for cabins and additional amenities like cabanas, the basics should be much better. We really wanted to love this place and expected it to be somewhere we’d want to return, but we left disappointed.

We recently stayed for New Year’s Eve and New years. We have stayed at the Hill County version same time of the year two years ago. The kids loved the location but were very sad to find out the general store and pool were both closed the whole 4 days we were there. While we understand why, zero communication was given that these things were closed. That being said beautiful location. We had brought our own gel blasters and loved the utilized the course and it was a blast. The kids and I also loved the putt putt course very fun, (again if you come in the off season bring your own broom or blower to clean the greens. The coolest highlight was the wiffle ball field. We made friends with a few other families and got a game going. Oh almost forgot the pickle ball courts are great.

This was our first time staying at camp fimfo. It was amazing. We brought our toy hauler. We booked it last min, and they still had openings. Every one was so nice. The staff was super nice. There were no dumpsters for our trash and all the bathroom trash cans were full. So we asked the lady that worked here, where do we throw our trash. She offered to take it and she saids if u leave ur trash out front, they will drive around and get it. So nice. The food at the restaurant was super good. The bar was not packet. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days. We got a military discount. The pool and spa was closed for the winter. They have out door games for free, mini golf, horse shoes and many more. They had a jump pillow, that had kids on it. The park had plenty of room, for there rv guests and long hotel guest. Lots of people brought there dogs and cats. There was a cool looking , fish pond, and behind our rv site, there was the waco river. My husband went fishing on the pier down there, and there was Plenty of other people walking there dogs and lots of kids playing. At night was very quiet.

My family and I LOVE coming to Camp Fimfo. Everyone is so friendly and there’s so much for everyone to do. We come every year and truly look forward to it. Shout out to Devin and Cherish for being 2 incredibly awesome staff members !!

We have enjoyed our stay at Camp Fimfo and we were excited to experience the haunted trail. When arriving at the entrance, the young girl checking wristbands would not allow me to enter with my kids because I did not wear mine. I did ask to speak with a manager and was not granted that option. It seems like more kids and or very young adults with little to no experience in customer service are running things. Therefore I asked to have an adult escort my kids thru, since I was denied entrance. Thanks to Tori who stepped in and was so gracious and kind to take my girls thru the trail. They had a blast and lots of scares. We even met Devin who did an awesome job setting up the entire trail himself and scaring the girls in his clown costume. Other than that, the facilities have been very clean and we have enjoyed our stay. Just hope they hire more adults and work on their front office/ store customer service skills.

This was our first time here in our camper and we also had a tent site. We had a great time. Not to far from stores,ice cream shops, etc. We'll definitely return.

Currently here at Camp Fimfo and had a minor maintenance issue with one of the televisions in one of the rooms. Made a maintenance request and the maintenance supervisor Toby took really good care of us. He was so kind, and made sure we were satisfied for the duration of our stay. We were able to move cabins with ease at at our own pace. All the staff had been very nice here and we will definitely be returning. I recommend this place to anyone considering. We’ll be back Camp Fimfo!

It's not perfect but we had a great time. The biggest cons is the prices are high on almost everything. The campsites are too close together but it's too late to change that i suppose. lol The playground is impressive, water park is nice although half of the water "guns" are non-functioning. Hamburger is actually good and good whiskey selection.. other food quality is low, like concession stand, although pizza has better than average toppings. I love the salt water pool although it was very warm.

We were absolutely impressed with camp Fimfo as a whole. There were a couple little things at the splash play area that we wish were working/fixed, but otherwise we have no complaints! The bathrooms/showers were in pristine condition, our kids had a wonderful time at the pool and splash area, as well as all the activities they did, and the pizza and ice cream was SO good! Every member of the staff we encountered was friendly and helpful! We plan to make Camp Fimfo our yearly summer kickoff campground now!

We spent the off season at Fimfo and loved it! The spaces were large and well kept and even on busy weekends the park never felt crowded. Amber and Brooke were always amazing and attentive at the swim up and inside bars! They made every pool visit extra enjoyable! The Managers Brian and Chris were always so helpful and accommodating, not only to us but our myriad of visitors and guests that visited us! Cannot say enough about how awesome they were! And the entire staff in general were always friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay again the next time we visit Waco. I only wish they had a monthly spring/summer rate as well. Would definitely encourage us to visit more often!

We had SUCH a fantastic time with our family. We went during their 'non peak' season for Fall break. The accommodations were clean, we stayed in the Mammoth cabin, the beds were comfy and they had everything we needed for the long weekend. The staff were all so nice and helpful. Our kids loved the water park, the playground and especially enjoyed all of the crafts they offer. I think we went gem mining every day and played mini golf every night! We have already booked another long trip with our extended family during the summer break! My kids asked for countdown calendar because they are excited to go back with their cousins. I highly recommend staying here for a fun family get away.
