We stayed at Shadow Bend and it was truly amazing. It begins with the level of Customer Care that the team takes in making sure you have the information you need and that your stay will be perfect. The cabin was clean, organized, and ready for our arrival and the atmosphere inside and out was truly a 10/10. It was so wonderful for our family to connect and enjoy some downtime away from busy lives and traffic :). Thank you again!

We had a beautiful stay, the property was beautifully done, immacuately cleaned and stocked with everything we needed. Hosts were super helpful and responsive, loved it!

Came here for a bday retreat, overall it’s extremely overpriced for what’s provided.Pros: Beautiful viewSpacious inside (for 2 people)Washer/dryer providedLocation is 13 min. from downtown WacoCons: $138 cleaning fee but when we arrived it wasn’t very clean, dirty sofa, poo streaks in toilet, pet poo outside of cabin, blankets & towels were stained.This is a given cause you’re clamping but a ton of spiders and frogs bear the jacuzziPaid over $400 for 1 night, definitely not worth it.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet recharge and getaway. So close to town, yet far enough to feel completely in the country. We could here all the little critters at night and in the morning. It was a wonderful stay- we will be back!

The place was very beautiful and relaxing, we really enjoyed everything the view,the clean cabin, the well equipped kitchen,we loved the hot tub even in summer , will definitely go back again!

We enjoyed one wonderful afternoon and evening at Live Oak Lake for our recent work retreat to Waco! The location and amenities were very luxurious. We enjoyed the container pool and whirlpool as well as swinging on the swing. They had a wonderful grilling area too. The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable as well as all the bedding. We even were gifted some delicious cookies, which added a really nice touch. I also can't forget the cute baby armadillo walking around that we enjoyed seeing.

This was the most relaxing stay that I have ever had. We took the family to the resort to relax and spend time away for the hustle and bustle. I can say that the service was top of the line. They’ve completely thought of everything that you would need. I couldn’t have expected to enjoy this as much as I did. I will definitely be back soon.

A most romantic and relaxing get away for some worn out parents. The cabins are beautifully designed, clean and well maintained. The setting is as peaceful as you can imagine and feels like you’re miles from everywhere, yet so close to everything to do in Waco. Homestead heritage is 5 min away…downtown less than 15…Cameron Park even closer. The pool was very refreshing too. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy the hot tub & fire pit in winter.

We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Live Oak Lake. The accommodations are beautiful and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, coffee, and tea. We enjoyed walking around the property and relaxing on the dock at sunset. It's also a quick drive to anything in Waco including grocery stores to cook in the cabin. Each cabin has privacy and it's own hot tub. We'll be back!

It was a lovely stay! Beautifully maintained property and cabin, and the hosts thought of everything in terms of stock and amenities. Some cabins have trees strategically planted to help you feel more private and secluded. The only thing I’d say was unexpected was the wood pellet bag was a little bit big for the bonfire container (burned a little too big to roast marshmallows over, however it was still a pretty atmosphere). All in all the stay was fantastic. I both recommend this place, and plan on coming back!
