We've been coming here for many years, and the food remains consistently excellent. The service is friendly, attentive, and one of the reasons we keep coming back.

Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, there was a noticeable sweet, sour odor in parts of the dining room that reminded me of a drain that needs cleaning. It was distracting enough that I hope management looks into it, because it took away from an otherwise great meal.

The dining room is also starting to show its age and could benefit from a refresh. None of this changes the quality of the food or the staff, which are still outstanding, but improving the atmosphere would make the overall experience match the excellent cuisine.

Food served was excellent BUT we were quite disappointed to see the menu changes as the cheese platter and lobster were why we have kept returning. Your online menu (that we checked before) still has both items available. Please update online menu to reflect what is served in the restaurant. We chose alternatives while there and they were delicious but still left disappointed to not have what we came for.

I guess there's always a place that's considered high-end cost as it is the case for this location however, the food isn't that great. This location is others are very much overpriced and rated but to each is his/her own.

Nice atmosphere and food but they messed up order and had to bring a dish back and then waiting 15 minutes everyone else had their food and was close to done by the time the correct dish came. Also took awhile for waiter to refill waters and get drinks from the bar.

Our server Jordan was amazing our entire experience! All the savory foods were absolutely delicious. As unique as the cocktails were, most of them at the table were not actually very good(sometimes it's better to stick to the classics). For main course, I ordered the 135 medallions. As delicious as the food was, the portion size was laughable. My friend ordered the 6oz steak, and this was definitely less than half the quantity of meat(it says 4oz). When they showed up with a tiny smear of polenta and maybe what was 3 oz of steak before cooked on a massive plate, everyone at the table literally laughed out loud. Definitely not worth $42. For dessert, we ordered the 8 layer amaretto chocolate cake, which looks absolutely delicious. Looks aside, the cake is actually the driest cake I've ever had, I would not recommend it.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly, but overall our experience was just okay. The food was nothing special, and for the price, we expected a bit more attention to detail.

I wish I was in Texas longer so I could come back here. This was the best ribeye I’ve had in years - I HIGHLY recommend their Marsala mushroom sauce. We got there at opening, so we were able to walk in and be seated. They have the main floor, bar seating, outdoor seating, a private dining room, and a larger separate event room. The waitstaff here wear white button-downs and black ties, so it’s recommended that you dress up at least a little.

Brought my girl back her after we had our first date here 6 years ago. Everything was fantastic and the service was great. The decor is very nice and has a very intimate feeling. Highly recommend.

After two previous experiences, our annual birthday celebration was highly disappointing. The quality of food did not meet the $225 dinner for two price tag.
The steak was dry and overcooked and sides were subpar. Our check was brought out before the dessert (that came with the Chateaubriand for two ) took significantly longer than usual. It was noted in the reservation and to our waitress at the beginning of dinner that we were celebrating a birthday. In our previous experience a happy birthday dessert was brought out and with this experience dessert was served as a normal dessert.

The restaurant was clean and looked amazing. I was taken here by bosses for holiday dinner and the food is not my type but was very presentable. The waiter was amazing and explained everything to us. He was patient and attentive. 5 stars for the service. If you're into high quality food then this is the place for you.

Fine dining in a strip mall. Go figure. Once you enter you'll be surprised. The decor is upscale steakhouse all the way. The service is in keeping with the high-end atmosphere. Attentive but never pushed and formal but friendly. Our waiter was professional and informative and a great attitude. A Certified Akaushi 8oz filet is $68 and well.worth it and cooked perfectly. We shared scalloped potatoes and cream spinach sides which were also delicious easily enough for two. For dessert I ordered their "signature" Creme Brulee. Nice crunch on top and great flavor. So there you have it. If you are in the Waco area and aren't afraid to pay for a great meal One Thirty Five is your spot. Thank you for a fine meal.

Needed a date night other than casual dining. It was good to treat her to a special dinner and time alone with her. She loved it, too!

This is such a special place. The wine list is very diverse. The food has a range for patrons- classic steak or monkfish medallions. It is always delicious. The service is par none!

It's been quite awhile since I've dined here however I imagine it's the same or possibly better. There was no waiting on the night I went, the menu was extensive, appetizers delicious, food cooked to perfection, service excellent and atmosphere better than I imagined. Prices are a little higher than anticipated but if you add in everything else it's well worth the cost. This would be a perfect
choice for that very special date you might have coming up, an anniversary party or an engagement and the patio is gorgeous. So should you find yourself looking for a dining experience that's unique try out this establishment at least once.

We took a party of eight here to celebrate graduation recently. Graduation evening is hard to get reservations, and 135 had seating in their “annex”, so we knew we weren’t getting the main restaurant. This isn’t a knock on the restaurant, because they opened up more tables for hungry families, but the annex seating is functional at best. The main restaurant is classy and well appointed, while the annex is for office parties.

The food here is good; nothing we had was bad. But none of it was the best version of what we have eaten before. We had steak, pasta, chicken and fish and enjoyed it all. Unfortunately the prices mirror some of the finest restaurants in larger cities, and this didn’t meet those expectations. The pasta sauce had broken, the steak medallions were strangely sliced and cooked, and the chocolate cake tasted like it had been in the chiller for quite a while. None of it “bad”, just slight misses.

Our waiter was attentive and did a good job of making recommendations. It was especially admirable given that he was fifty yards from the main kitchen.

If you want a nicer dinner in Waco, there aren’t many restaurants that are better than 135. Just don’t expect too much.

Cheeseboard was freaking amazing. Such a good mix of cheeses! Meats and fruits were incredible.

    Excellent drink and wine menu!

Prime rib was excellent. Soft, juicy and excellent flavor!
Steak was so flavorful and good!

Peach cobbler was Cue in ratatouille flashback scene. Warm, cold, sweet, spice, crunchy all amazing.

    Crème brûlée was so delicious

Two hours of sublime chef creations in a romantic setting with quiet, beautiful music, excellent waiter. New cocktails have been added to the already great menu. The escargot with bruschetta is the best appetizer ever!!! We always order it! The variety of homemade bread is divine. My favorite dinner course was the homemade pasta with braised short ribs. Every item on the Valentine menu was delicious. We love the weekly Chef Specials!!

Four of us enjoyed an early dinner. The hostess was friendly as was our server. Attentive without being intrusive.

Our food, all of us had filets, was cooked to order. Excellent flavor. Lobster risotto, lobster Mac and mashed potatoes were delicious. We did have an issue with one item but our server handled it without it becoming a hassle. Excellent service recovery.

The wine and cocktail list is extensive. The wines by the glass give you plenty of options as well.

We've dined here a few times and won't hesitate to return in the future when in the area.
